I wanted the cheapest bike an adult could ride, and I found it at the local Toys "R" Us. Could a $60 bike really be rideable? I had my doubts. Huffy describes this as a mountain bike, but this steel-frame cycle wouldn't get very far in the woods. At 42 pounds, it feels like it's made out of pig iron. And yet ... it has wheels, pedals, a chain — it goes! On a level bike trail it plugged along adequately. (Hills were tougher.) The brakes and shifters are crude but functional. While this is hardly a quality bike, it's a working bike. And at this price, that's impressive.
